The Episcopal Church of the Ascension
Welcomes
You!

A WORD OF WELCOME

You don't have to have it
all figured out.

We have one Sunday service at 10:00 a.m. It's good to plan to arrive about five to ten minutes before the service begins, so that a greeter can help you find a seat and answer any questions you may have.

Ascension is a vibrant Christian community of all ages, where we connect with God, with each other, and with those in need by praying, learning, and serving. Whoever you are, wherever you've been, you are welcome here.

"There is a place for you here."

What to expect

What to wear

Come comfortable. Some people dress up and some wear casual clothes. You'll see all of it in our pews, and no one will give you a second look. Wear what feels right to you.

Everyone is invited to the table

We welcome all people who seek God and a deeper life in Christ to receive Holy Communion. You do not need to be a member. Come forward at the ushers' invitation to receive the bread and wine, or the bread alone. Gluten-free wafers are available. If you prefer not to receive, come forward with arms crossed for a blessing

Bringing children

Children are most welcome at all of our services of worship, and we take the safety and security of your child very seriously. Educational and fellowship opportunities for children and adults are offered seasonally throughout the year.

Post service Refreshments

After worship each Sunday, we gather for refreshments and there's always a place for you at the table. It's the easiest way to meet a few faces, ask any questions on your mind, and get a feel for who we are. Come as you are, stay as long as you like, and let us say hello.

Everyone is welcome here.

The Episcopal Church warmly welcomes our LGBTQ+ siblings, but it would be disingenuous to say that the entire church is in the same place on this journey. As with all spiritual journeys, everyone walks at their own pace.

Ascension Episcopal is actively involved in LGBTQ+ ministry, and its arms are wide open; others are more reserved, but their doors are still open to all; some are still wrestling with their beliefs and feelings. But we’re on this journey together, and The Episcopal Church is dedicated to full inclusion and equality in the church as well as in society as a whole.
