Reaching out to others.
Our faith reaches beyond the church doors; into gardens, food pantries, and partnerships that lift up our neighbors here in the Magic Valley and around the world.
“He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
MICAH 6:8

WAYS TO GIVE
Outreach is at the heart of who we are at Ascension. We work hand in hand with trusted partners, both locally and globally, and we tend a community garden that feeds our neighbors.
However you'd like to help, there's a place for you in this work.
Neighbors in Need
Neighbors in Need is Ascension's partnership with South Central Community Action Partnership (SCCAP) to help members of our community meet basic needs like food, housing, utilities, and more. Rather than duplicate services, we join forces with the organization already doing this work across the Magic Valley every day.
SCCAP exists to provide a wide range of services in collaboration with community partners, working to improve the quality of life for people facing economic hardship. Together, we help make sure our neighbors have somewhere to turn.
LOCAL PARTNERSHIP

As an Episcopal parish, we're part of a worldwide family of faith committed to healing a hurting world. Episcopal Relief & Development partners with communities and organizations around the world to foster dignity and hope.
For more than 85 years, this ministry has worked alongside local leaders to build lasting change in areas such as:
When disaster strikes or communities are in need, our gifts and prayers join with Episcopalians everywhere to make a difference far beyond what any one parish could do alone.
GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP

The Community Garden
Established in 2012, Ascension's Community Garden is a place of gathering, a space to grow, and a source of food for the hungry. It's a free program, and our 36 plots are tended by neighbors, refugee families, and parishioners side by side.
Applications for garden space open in early spring, with acceptance notices sent by early May. Returning families are given priority, but we aim to welcome as many gardeners as we can.
The garden sits just behind the Sanctuary, you're welcome to come see it.
